During the Berlinale film festival in Berlin, Germany, Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese announced a documentary about Jamaican superstar Bob Marley. It will be released on Marley´s 65th birthday which is February 6th, 2010.

Bob´s son Ziggy will be the executive producer for the project:

I am thrilled that the Marley family will finally have the opportunity to document our father’s legacy and are truly honored to have Mr. Scorsese guide the journey.

For Scorsese, the Marley documentary is his third big music-related production, after doing documentaries on The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan.

Heya. After the Afflicted Yard, we team up with another legendary Jamaican institution: Passa Passa. Yep - the infamous Wednesday-night session in front of Miles Enterprises hosted by Swatch International down in Tivoli Gardens, Kingston, Jamaica.

I can smell the Jerk Chicken, feel the bass and taste the Red Bull & Guiness just by looking at this shirt out of the official seen. vs. Passa Passa merchandise line. Now imagine what it is like to wear it. Get. Yours. Now.

Just found out that there´s an inofficial podcast for one of my favourite radio-shows - FM4`s “Unltd”. This week, Functionist and Beware once again had some nice reggae-flavoured selections (check e. g. the shows from 04/02/2008 and 07/02/2008 feat. DJ Phekt).

Ever heard of a blog called “Street Clash”? Nope? That´s

“an international style competition between blogs & photographers around the world.”

As you can see above, currently Munich (GER) ranks Numero Uno. Wow. Who would have thought that? But there´s still some time left to vote and/or take part yourself.

A good chance to get your pic on the blog is to go to the Street Clash party in Berlin. In the course of the “Wedding Dress” event in Berlin which brings streetwear and urban fashion to one of the not so nice corners of Germany´s capital, the people who run “Street Style” - were invited and will party in “Store 11” tomorrow.

Uwe K., member of the infamous Roots Rockers Soundsystem from Munich, Germany, and a good friend of ours, send us some pictures straight from the beaches of Jamaica a few days ago. I´m kinda jealous but still wanna say thanks and wish him all the best for his upcoming solo debut which is about to drop this year.
