Fabric is one of London´s most legendary clubs - the soundsystem´s supposed to be one of the best in the world and the website has a red banner with rotating claims. One of them says “Kill the Hippies”. LDN, nuff watts and non-hippie. Sounds like a perfect fit. Sounds even more like one listening to number 14 of the Fabric´s podcast series.
This time, Don Letts is on the decks. In case you don´t know: He´s about
bass and the history and legacy of Jamaican culture which has actually become part of the fabric of contemporary pop music.
Nothing more to say than better listen to that mix (and, of course, read “Culture Clash“)

While I`m not the biggest fan of reposting things from HighSnob and them people, I couldn´t resist upping this one: for summer 08, 10Deep are putting out some adjustable hats named “Trenchtown”. I really like them. Especially the black version. (via CtotheJL)
They will probably sell better than Elephant Man´s album (via DancehallMobi) and will look good vibing to either Fly Music´s reggae cover tunes of the day, The Bug´s “London Zoo” album preview mix or whatever blogrocking beats.

Nearby, Jay Roberts, 54, watched his 4-year-old granddaughter, Ava, splash around on Reggae River Falls, which reinterprets the tough Kingston streets that gave rise to Bob Marley, presenting them as a water-soaked playground.
